World wide sisterhood
As I was listening to the Relief Society broadcast I saw a lady with a baby sitting across the isle from me at the Stake Center. Her baby was wrapped in one of the blankets provided by the Cedar Hills 1st ward. It was such an awesome feeling that came over me as I listened to our church leaders talking about giving relief and service, and seeing the results of such labors at the same time. You have truly helped some people who don't have much as far as material items go. It is so fun as I visit different wards for my calling to see the little girls wearing their dresses and making sure I notice that they are wearing them. Thank you for all that you have done.

Letters from Girls

Not everything will be photographed
Just want to apologize if a dress or blanket that you made, or clothes that were donated don't make it on the blog. Some of the dresses were given to the mothers of sick children. We also didn't get photographs of the blankets that have been delivered or the box of clothing. Please know that all you did to help is greatly appreciated. The family that received the box of clothing was so excited, and I really was amazed as I saw that almost every piece of clothing looked brand new and very fashionable. Your kindness will be remembered for a long time to come!

More dresses delivered to Antofagasta Centro
We went back a second week to give dresses to those who were not at church the 1st Sunday. The girls were happy. The girls in the yellow & red dresses are sisters and their mother was thrilled that they matched. The girls in the ABC print dresses are friends & thought it was fun to have matching dresses as well. Also, many of the girls from the previous week wore their dresses to church on Sunday and made sure that I saw them in their new clothing!
Children in the Antofagasta Centro Ward
These girls are from the Antofagasta Centro (Central) Ward. It is the poorest ward in the Antofagasta Stake. The girls were soooo excited to each receive 2 new dresses that they tried them on right away! The parents were even more excited. They really examined the stitches, fabrics, patterns, etc. and are so grateful to all of the people that put so much time, effort and love into these dresses. There are 3 baby girls in the ward that received 2 blankets each, as well as booties, and many of the young boys in the ward received winter hats. The Bishop made the comment that these pictures should be in the Liahona (the Spanish version of the Ensign). We'll see!
